Whaea Breeze gave us some items to put into a bucket full of water. We had to make a prediction about which objects would float and which would sink. I learned about buoyancy. If an object is buoyant then it can float. Objects that have air pockets and have a hollow inside can float. Objects that are denser, will sink. The items we tested were a tea bag, can of beans, a cube, a stick and a sponge.

    I like how you used science words like buoyancy, prediction, hollow and denser because you are making the story more interesting. I did the same experiment as you. I had to make a boat out of foil to see if it sinks. Is it possible for your class to make the can of beans float?
