Coca Cola Experiment - Ezekiel

In B9 our class was learning about the science physics. We were doing a science activity to learn about floating and sinking. Here we are testing 2 different kinds of cokes. These are coke zero and vanilla flavoured coke. 

What do you think will happen when we dropped these two cokes into the water? Do you think they float or sink? You'll probably think that they will both sink. Yes well, that's what I thought but I was actually WRONG! The vanilla flavoured coke had more molecules which actually made it denser. In other words, it was heavier than coke zero because the coke zero doesn't have as many molecules as the vanilla flavoured coke because of the sugar.

    Thank you Ezekiel for sharing your science experiment with me. I really enjoyed when you discovered your prediction was WRONG! I believe this was the best learning for you because you were then able to explain what you found out. And GUESS WHAT? I learnt something new too! I didn't know about molecules and that vanilla flavoured coke has more than coke zero because of sugar. Wow! You could be a scientist!!!

      I didn't know what molecules were either until I watched a video that Whaea Breeze let us watch. Also thank you! I think that I can be a scientist one day.

    Hello Ezekiel I loved your story. My favorite part of the story was when your prediction was wrong about the two cokes sinking. Our school also learnt about what can float and sink but we had to guess the objects ourselves and it wasn't easy. What else did you learn about the floating and sinking method?

      Thank you,
      we also had to guess with many other things such as a twig, a block, a can of beans and many more. As we did these projects we also had to do a quiz in the end which had a whole load of facts also, did you know the reason boat don't sink is because it's hollow inside and at the bottom of the boat there's a hull that keeps afloat.
